The correct answer is:

If $m=$ Number of rows
and $n=$ Number of cells in a row
Then $m \times n= 100$ $\ldots . . .(i)$
Also condition of maximum current is $R=\frac{n r}{m}$
$\Rightarrow \quad 25=\frac{1 \times n}{m} \Rightarrow n=25 m$ $\ldots . . .(ii)$
On solving (i) and (ii) $m=2$
and $n=$ Number of cells in a row
Then $m \times n= 100$ $\ldots . . .(i)$
Also condition of maximum current is $R=\frac{n r}{m}$
$\Rightarrow \quad 25=\frac{1 \times n}{m} \Rightarrow n=25 m$ $\ldots . . .(ii)$
On solving (i) and (ii) $m=2$
