$19 \mathrm{~g}$ of water at $30^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ and $5 \mathrm{~g}$ of ice at $-20^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ are mixed together in a calorimeter. What is the final temperature of the mixture? Given specific heat of ice $=0.5 \mathrm{cal} \mathrm{g}^{-1}\left({ }^{\circ} \mathrm{C}\right)^{-1}$ and latent heat of fusion of ice $=80 \mathrm{cal} \mathrm{g}^{-1}$

The correct answer is:
$5^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$
$5 \times .5 \times 20+5 \times 80+5 t=19 \times 1 \times(30-t)$
$\mathrm{t}=5^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$
$\mathrm{t}=5^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$
