Degree of dissociation, α=14100=0.14

Concentration of maleic acid, C=0.010 M

The equilibrium reaction is







Ka=C2α2C(1-α)=Cα2(1-α)

Ka=0.010×0.14×0.140.86=2.3×10-4.
