The correct answer is: 40 N

The mass is given of the ball is, m=0.2 kg, now first calculate the retardation of the ball, using the first equation of the motion, 

v=u+at0=20+a×0.1a=-200 m s-2

So the average force applied to the ball, F=ma=0.2×200=40 N
