$8 \mathrm{~cm}$
Let distance $=u$. Now $\frac{v}{u}=16$ and $v=u+120$
$\therefore \frac{120+u}{u}=16 \Rightarrow 15 u=120 \Rightarrow u=8 \mathrm{~cm}$
$\therefore \frac{120+u}{u}=16 \Rightarrow 15 u=120 \Rightarrow u=8 \mathrm{~cm}$
