Let u=2f+x, then

1u+1v=1f

12f+x+1v=1f

1v=1f-12f+x=f+xf(2f+x)

v=f(2f+x)f+x

It is given that u+v=1.0 m

2f+x+f(2f+x)f+x=2f+x1+ff+x<1.0m

Or  2f+x2f+x<1.0m

Or  2f+x2<(f+x)

This will be true only when f<0.25 m
