The correct answer is: 3:1

Heat produced in resistor when direct current flows is H1=i2R1t   

H1=423t=163t

Heat produced in resistor when alternating current flows is  H2=irms2R2t                irms=i02  

H2=i022R2t

H2=422×2t=16t

Thus, the ratio is H1:H2=3:1
