The correct answer is: 1+sin2α

We have, cos2α+cos2β+cos2γ=1

cos2α+cos2π2-α+cos2γ=1  [given α+β=π2]

cos2α+sin2α+cos2γ=1

1+cos2γ=1

cos2γ=0

cosγ=0

 cosα+cosβ+cosγ2=cosα+sinα2

=1+2sinα·cosα=1+sin2α
