Let C1 and C2 be the x -intercept of line with slope 2 and 6 respectively.
y-0=2x-C1
y=2x-2C1.i
Similarly y=6x-6C2.ii
Both i and ii satisfy x=40 and y=30
30=80-2C1C1=25
And 30=2406 C 2 6 C 2 =210 C 2 =35
Hence, 6C2-2C1=160
