According to the equation for the coefficient of restitution

e=velocity of separation after collisionvelocity of approach before collision

 e=v2-v1u1-u2 along the line of impact.

From the figure, e=v2-0u1cosθ-0=1

u1cosθ=v2

According to the conservation of momentum along the line of impact 

m1u1cosθ=m2v2

as u1cosθ=v2

m1=m2
