when the mass is displaced in the upward direction then the forces acting ar as shown in the diagram,

F1=-kx=F2 & F3=-2kx=F4 

Referring to second diagram,

FR=F1+F32+F2+F42=32kx 

But since the particle performing SHM,

  FR=mω2x

   mω2x=32kx

   ω=32km
