The correct answer is: Rμ1-μ2

Focal length of combination

1f=1f1+1f2    i

Using lens maker's formula
1f2=μ2-11-R-1=-μ2-1R

1f1=μ1-11-1-R=μ1-1R

or 1f1=μ1-1R

1f2=-μ2-1R

Putting these values in Equation (i), we get

 1f=μ1-1R-μ2-1R

 1f=μ1-1-μ2+1R

 1f=μ1-μ2R

f=Rμ1-μ2
