The correct answer is: m1-m2- 2mec2
The masses of parent and daughter elements nuclide are m1and m2 respectively.

Mass of parent element = m1+ Zme (where Z is atomic number of parent element)

Mass of daughter element - m2+ Z+1me  (As atomic number of element increases by one due to β  emission)

Mass decay = mass of parent atom - one β loss - [mass of daughter atom along with one electron]

=m1+Zme-me-[m2+ Z+1me]

=[m1-m2-2me]

Energy liberated =m1-m2- 2mec2
