Flowers pollinated by birds are called ornithophilous flowers. They have a corolla tube formed by the fusion of petals. This allows the beak of the bird to be placed in the flower. They have a large amount of nectar. They are without fragrance since the birds cannot smell. Insect pollinated (entomophilous) flowers will be bright colored and with a sweet smell. Bat pollinated (chirophtherophilous) flowers are generally white flowers with rotting fruit odor. Wind pollinated (Anemophilous) flowers are small, not colored, and not fragrant.
