The correct answer is: fu-f2b
The concave mirror formula is

1v+1u=1f .... (i)

Since, for a given concave mirror, focal length f is fixed, we partially differentiate Eq. (i) to get

-δvv2=-δuu2=0 or δv=-vu2 δu ...... (ii)

Multiplying Equation. (i) by u , we get

uv+1=uf or vu=fu-f ..... (iii)

Using Equation. (iii) in Equation. (ii), we get

δv=-fu-f2δu

Given δu=b. Therefore

δv=-fu-f2b

The negative sign shown that image is longitudinally inverted. The magnitude of the size of the image is

δv=bfu-f2
