The correct answer is: mgl (1-cosθ)
When bob is at rest, the pendulum has only potential energy which is given as P.E=mgl

When the bob is released from maximum displaced position, it will lose  P.E. and gain K.E

Thus loss in P.E = gain in K.E


K.E=mglmglcosθ=mgl( 1cosθ )
