Kinetic energy of rolling solid sphere

=12mV2+12Iω2

=12mV2+12×25mr2ω2

=12mV2+15mV2

=710mV2

The potential energy of the spring on maximum compression x

=12kx2

    12kx2=710mV2

x2=1410mV2k

=1410×26236  

=2.8

x=2.8 m
