Acceleration of aeroplane with respect to the earth,

aAE=5 m s-2

Acceleration of stone with respect to the earth,

aSE =-10 m s-2

or aES =-aSE =10 m s-2

Thus, the acceleration of aeroplane with respect to the stone,

aAS =aAE+aES=5+10=15 m s-2 

 The relative separation between the stone and aeroplane in s,

s=12aASt2=12×15×22=30 m
