The correct answer is: 2.52 V
If a rod of length l is moved with velocity v at an angle θ to the length of the rod in a filed B which is perpendicular to the plane of motion, the flux linked with the area generated by the motion of rod in time t.

ϕ=Blv sinθt

So, e=dϕdt=Bv l sinθ

This will be maximum when




sinθ=max=1

i.e., the rod is moving perpendicular to its length and then

emax=Bvl

e=0.9×7×0.4=2.52 V
