The correct answer is: 12.5 cm
According to the first condition



f=25 cmV=75 cm

1f=1v-1u

125=175-1u

1u=175-125

1u=1-375

u= -752= -37.5 cm

According to the second condition



v1=50 cm f=25 cm

1f=1v1-1u1

125=150-1u1

1u1=150-125

1u1=1-250

u1= -50 cm

So, the image is sharp again for,

Δu=u1-u

=50-37.5

=12.5 cm
