The correct answer is: \( \frac{m g}{4} \)

 

mg-Ny=may

ay= Acceleration of the center of mass in y-direction.

=L2×α (Since it is tangential acceleration)

Now,

Ny=mg-mLα2

But,

α=τAIA=mgL2mL23=3g2L

So, Ny=mg-mL2×3g2L=mg4
