Angle of friction, is the angle which the resultant of limiting friction and normal reaction makes with the normal reaction.

$\therefore$
$$
\tan \theta=\frac{F}{R}
$$
Or
$$
\frac{F}{W}=\tan \theta
$$

$\therefore$
$$
\tan \theta=\frac{F}{R}
$$
Or
$$
\frac{F}{W}=\tan \theta
$$
