The correct answer is:
$2.5 \Omega$
The wires $A D C$ and $A B C$ will have resistance $5 \Omega$ each. These two are joined in parallel between $A$ and $C$. The equivalent resistance $R$ between $A$ and $C$ is, therefore given by
$R=\frac{5 \Omega \times 5 \Omega}{5 \Omega+5 \Omega}=2.5 \Omega$
$R=\frac{5 \Omega \times 5 \Omega}{5 \Omega+5 \Omega}=2.5 \Omega$
