The correct answer is: $5 \mathrm{~mA}$

For $\mathrm{R}=1 \mathrm{k} \Omega$
$\begin{array}{l}
\mathrm{i}_{1}=\frac{15}{1} \mathrm{~mA}=15 \mathrm{~mA} \\
\mathrm{R}=250 \Omega \\
\mathrm{i}_{250}=\frac{20-15}{250}=\frac{5}{250}=20 \mathrm{~mA} \\
\mathrm{i}_{\mathrm{Zener}}=20-15=5 \mathrm{~mA}
\end{array}$
