The correct answer is: 20 cm

 

  u+v=90                                                                        ...(i)

  m= υ u 2= υ u v=2u                                                  ...(ii)

Putting the value of v in (i), we get

  u+2u=90u= 90 30 =30 

  v=2×30=60

Using lens formula, we get

       1 f = 1 υ 1 u 1 f = 1 60 1 30 1 f = 1 60 + 1 30 1 f = 1+2 60 = 3 60 f= 60 3    f=20 cm.
