Graafian follicle develops under influence of FSH of anterior pituitary. Its follicular cells secrete estrogen. Rising level of estrogen decreases production of FSH, and stimulates secretion of $\mathrm{LH}$. The two cause mature Graafian follicle to release the ovum.
