(i) lnCH4 and CCl4 being tetrahedral (symmetrical molecules), bond dipoles cancel one other resulting in zero dipole moment.

(ii) As electronegativity difference between two bonded atoms increases, the bond polarity increases resulting into the increase in dipole moment.
