2T×35=20

T=503 N

Now when spring is cut in case-1 then net force F1 acting on block is,

F1=202+5032-2×20×503×35                    (resultant force of the remaining T=503 N and mg=20 N forces)

=503 N

Similarly, when the string is cut in case-2 then net force F2 acting on block is F2=20×45=16 N
