The correct answer is: increases for conductors but decreases for semiconductors

For conductors, on increasing temperature, thermal agitation of free electrons increases. Hence, resistance increases.

For Semiconductors, number of holes or charge carriers increases with increase in temperature.

Hence, resistance increases for conductors but decreases for semiconductors.

 Answer is (b)
