A red object reflects red colour from a light falling on it. Thus when this object is viewed in yellow light then it absorbs all yellow light falling on it and appears dark. From Rayleigh's scattering is inversely proportional to $\lambda^4$. Red colour has largest wavelength; therefore this colour is scattered least as compared to other colours.
