Amides are $R-\mathrm{CONH}_2$
Acids are $R-\mathrm{COOH}$
Due to the presence of $-\mathrm{NH}_2$ group in amides there is stronger hydrogen bonding between the amide molecules than between the acid molecules. Some acids are rather present in dimers form due to the presence of intra molecular hydrogen bonding.
