Correct reason is due to electron withdrawing nature of $\mathrm{C}=\mathrm{O}$ group, $\mathrm{C}-\mathrm{H}$ bond in aldehydes is weak and easily oxidised to the corresponding carboxylic acids even with mild oxidising agent like Fehling's solution and Tollen's reagents.
