Non-oxidising acids $\left(\mathrm{HCl}\right.$ and dil. $\left.\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{SO}_4\right)$ do not have any effect on copper. However they dissolve the metal in presence of air. As it is a nonspontaneous process so, $\Delta G$ can not be $-\mathrm{ve}$.
