Note: Assuming base of logarithm as e.

Given 

Assertion: for x<0, d2dx2log|x|=1|x|2

Reason: for x<0, |x|=-x

So, let f(x)=log(|x|)

For x<0

y=f(x)=log(-x)

Now, dydx=1(-x)-1=1x

d2ydx=-1x2

So, Assertion is wrong but reason is true.
