The correct answer is:
If both assertion and reason are false.
$\mathrm{O}_2 \mathrm{~F}_2$ has the similar structure as that of $\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{O}_2$ but the $\mathrm{O}-\mathrm{O}$ bond length is shorter in $\mathrm{O}_2 \mathrm{~F}_2$ than in $\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{O}_2$. This is due to the high electronegativity of attached F-atoms.
