For the banking of curve, $\tan \theta=\frac{v^2}{r g}$. When velocity $v$ is doubled, $\tan \theta$ becomes four times. With increase in $\theta$, the chance of overturning also increases. When $v$ increases, $\theta$ increases and consequently chance of skidding or overturning becomes greater.
