The correct answer is: C2

If the given molecule/atom/ion has all paired electrons in its orbitals, then it is said to be diamagnetic and if atleast one of the orbital has unpaired electron, then it is said to be paramagnetic.

Writing the molecular orbital configuration of the given molecules assuming that no 2s-2p mixing takes place-

(i) Be2σ1s2, σ*1s2, σ2s2, σ*2s2 (diamagnetic)

(ii) B2σ1s2, σ*1s2, σ2s2, σ*2s2,σ2pz2 (diamagnetic)

(iii) C2σ1s2, σ*1s2, σ2s2, σ*2s2, σ2pz2,π2px1π2py1 (paramagnetic)

(iv) N2σ1s2, σ*1s2, σ2s2, σ*2s2, σ2pz2, π2px2π2py2 (diamagnetic)

Note here that, if any of the molecular orbital has two electrons, then the electrons will be paired and if it has one electron, then the electron will be unpaired.
