The phylum Arthropoda is the largest and most varied in the animal kingdom. It includes insects, arachnids, myriapods and crustaceans. They have bilateral symmetry as their body can be divided vertically into two mirror images. They have metameric segmentation in which body organs and appendages were serially repeated in each segment. They are eucoelomate with an open circulatory system.
