Biogas is a renewable gas formed by the action of anaerobic bacteria. Biogas is mainly composed of methane $\left(50\%-70\%\right)$ and carbondioxide $\left(30\%-40\%\right)$ and other gases in trace amount. It does not contain carbon monoxide in it.
