Calculate the concentration (in percentage by weight) of a solution obtained by mixing 300 g 25% by weight solution of NH4Cl  and 150 g of 40%  by weight solution of NH4Cl .

The correct answer is: 30
Weight of solution I and II = 300 + 150 = 450 g 
Weight of NH4Cl in I solution=25×300100= 75 g
Weight of NH4Cl in II solution =40×150100= 60 g
      Total weight of NH4Cl = 75 + 60 = 135 g
     % by wt. of mixed solution =135450× 100 = 30%
