(i) In belongs to group 13, hence an electron deficient hole is created and therefore, it is a p-type semiconductor.
(ii) \(\mathrm{B}\) belongs to group 13 and has 3 electrons in valence shell. When doped with \(\mathrm{S} i\), having 4 electrons in valence shell an electron deficient hole is created and therefore, in this case also a p-type semiconductor is formed
