The correct answer is: 0.25 A
Given circuit below

Resistance between B and C on the right-hand side of the circuit

=10×1010+10=10020=5 Ω

because 1 Ω+4 Ω+5 Ω=10 Ω are in parallel with 10 Ω .

Resistance between A and D on the right-hand side of the circuit.

=10×1010+10=10020=5 Ω

because 5 Ω (equivalent resistance of 1 Ω, 4 Ω, 5 Ω and 10 Ω ) is in series with 3 Ω and 2 Ω .

Hence, resistance between A and D will be 5 Ω

Equivalent resistance of the circuit,

R=5+2+5=12 Ω

Current drawn from the battery,

I=12 V12 Ω=1 A

At the junction A , the current of 1 A is divided equally between the 10 Ω resistance and the remaining circuit of the 10 Ω resistance.

At the junction B , the current of 0.5 A is divided equally between the 10 Ω resistor and remaining circuit of resistance 10 Ω .

Current through the 4 Ω resistor =0.25  A .
