We know that, Dot product of perpendicular vectors is zero.

a+tb·a-tb=0

a2-ta·b+tb·a-t2b2=0

a2-t2b2=0

4-9t2=0

t2=49

t=±23

But given that t is positive scalar, hence t=23.
