The correct answer is:
$A=2 r$
For refraction through prism,

$$
A=r_{1}+r_{2}
$$
For the case of minimum deviation,
$$
\begin{aligned}
& & r_{1} &=r_{2}=r \\
\therefore & & A &=r+r=2 r
\end{aligned}
$$

$$
A=r_{1}+r_{2}
$$
For the case of minimum deviation,
$$
\begin{aligned}
& & r_{1} &=r_{2}=r \\
\therefore & & A &=r+r=2 r
\end{aligned}
$$
