The correct answer is: 5

Moment of inertia of the solid sphere about any diameter is given by, 2m1R25.

Using parallel axis theorem, we get

Isolid sphere =25m1R2+m1R2=75m1R2

=75×5R2

=7R2

Moment of inertia of the disc about the diameter is given by, m2R24.

Now using parallel axis theorem, we get

Idisc =m2R24+m2R2=54m2R2

=54×4R2

=5R2

Therefore,Idisc Isoild sphere =57

Thus, x=5.
