For a transistor, \( \beta \)-current gain and \( \alpha \)-current gain are related as
\[
\beta=\frac{\alpha}{1-\alpha}
\]
Given, \( \alpha \)-current gain \( =0.98 \)
Therefore, \( \beta=\frac{0.98}{1-0.98}=\frac{0.98}{0.02}=49 \)
\( \beta \)-current gain of transistor is \( 49 \).
\[
\beta=\frac{\alpha}{1-\alpha}
\]
Given, \( \alpha \)-current gain \( =0.98 \)
Therefore, \( \beta=\frac{0.98}{1-0.98}=\frac{0.98}{0.02}=49 \)
\( \beta \)-current gain of transistor is \( 49 \).
