The correct answer is: -2αα+1

Given equation is

2x2x+1=14x2+2x-1=0 .........(1)

roots of equation 1

are α and β

α+β=-12

β=-12-α   ........(2)

and

4α2+2α-1=0α2=14-α2 .........(3)

now

-2αα+1=-2α2-2a

=-214-α2-2α=-12-α=β
