Given, 11x2+12x-13=0

Then, α+β=-1211 and αβ=-1311

Now, 1α2+1β2=α2+β2α2β2

=α+β2-2αβαβ2

Putting the values we get, 

=-12112-2-1311-13112

=1.19+2.361.39

2.54
