According to Bohr's theory, for the $n^{\text {th }}$ orbit total energy is given by
$E \propto \frac{1}{n^2}$
and the angular momentum is given by
$L \propto n$
$\therefore L \propto \frac{1}{\sqrt{E}}$
$E \propto \frac{1}{n^2}$
and the angular momentum is given by
$L \propto n$
$\therefore L \propto \frac{1}{\sqrt{E}}$
