f(x) is continuous at x=3

LHL=RHL=f(3)

λ2(3)+3=μ(3)+12 λ=μ+4 ......(1)

Also f(x) is differentiable at x=3

at x=3 LHD=RHD

λ22(3)+3·2=μλ=3μ ......(2)

By (1) and (2)

μ=2,λ=6
